9 Spaces is part of NN Publishing GmbH, a publishing house for the future of work.

Our story

It all began with a small team of organisational consultants and content nerds. We have noticed that in consulting, incredibly smart people possess valuable knowledge about change. The problem is, this knowledge is often highly exclusive and accessible only to a few.

That’s why we launched Neue Narrative in 2017, the magazine for new work. Our goal was to accelerate the transformation of organisations and the economy as a whole through high-quality, well-crafted content products.

From the very beginning, our tools received amazing feedback. In June 2021, we launched 9 Spaces, a modular workshop platform. Today, more than 3,000 organisations and individuals are driving their transformation through our platform.

Our mission

We aim to democratise knowledge and tools for organisational change. Our dream is for organisations to harness the potential of their members and begin transforming from within. It’s important to us to live what we write about. We see ourselves as a prototype for the organisation of the future, testing our own content on ourselves to become more sustainable and forward-looking.

We change structures, not people

It’s not about changing people. We don’t believe in approaches that try to ‘fix’ individuals. To change organisations, we need structural shifts and a change in the conditions people work in.
